SACF is a member of the e-Skills council, a partnership between government and private sector, educators and other established government institutions that provide strategic advice on ICT related skills issues. The e-skills council is supported by the e-skills working group and is comprised of representative’s Public sector, Private sector, academia, research institutions and civil society.
SACF is also representing industry on the board of the ISETT Seta. In addition, SACF has begun an initiative to:
• Coordinate the role players in skills development in ICT’s
• Organise discussions Foras on skills in the sector
• Ensure research is conducted on an ongoing basis to inform the development of skills
• Support the development of skills for the industry by the industry
